Mastering is the final and most critical step in the post-production process. It's the stage between the final mix down and the distribution of your music.
Once mastered, your songs are then 'release ready' and will stand up comparably in quality and loudness to commercially released music. The WAV files I provide can be used for distribution on popular sites such as Beatport, Bandcamp, iTunes, Juno, etc. I can also provide a Vinyl-Ready WAV for lacquer mastering. My process of mastering is using a combination of analog & digital tools.
Stem mixing is a method of mixing audio material based on creating groups of audio tracks and processing them separately prior to combing them into a final mix. Stems are some times referred to as sub mixes, subgroups, or buses.
Kage mastering is proud to offer stem mixing using the finest analog summing techniques. I utilize hi-end converter, and a rock-solid jitter free clock combined with vintage analog summing and outboard gear to create punchy final mixes based upon your source material. Stem group exports are also available!
